Basma Mostafa, she is definitely not the last Egyptian in China
But after the Egyptian government issued a halt to Egypt Air flights to and from China
The embassy issued a notice to all citizens who must leave for their safety on the last plane.
Basma Mustafa refused and did not join the immigration of foreigners who left the country.
Mustafa is famous for her controversial choice to stay in China amid the continuing epidemic of Corona.
She chose not to risk returning the virus with her, despite her parents’ concern, arguing that it was safer for herself and for the country not to come back.
Basma wrote a long post on Facebook, explaining her experience and why she chose not to return from Beijing.
Mostafa explained that despite her family’s demands to return home, she felt that she would risk injuring her family, as well as other Egyptians if she was injured.
“Because I fear for my family from injury, I also fear, and I have a responsibility towards them so that they will not become infected.”
“I am also afraid for them, my sisters, and every other person in Egypt.”
“I don’t know who will be on my long way from a taxi to the airport, to the airport itself, and who will be on board.”
It is definitely a smart move, as some patients may slip onto a plane so that they do not get stuck in Chinese hospitals, or they may not even know that they have contracted the disease.
And on a 11- to 15-hour journey, using recycled air, planes become an ideal way to spread the virus to anyone on board.
“China is making every effort to combat and deal with the virus.”
“From building a hospital in 7 days in Wuhan to accommodate the injured”
“To declare a state of preparedness for the virus in Chinese provinces and cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai.”
I took pictures in Wuhan of hospital workers who are tired of working and tired of dealing with patients for weeks.
Do you agree with the move Basma Mustafa?
